Steve and Tim where taking a trip out to Monarch to get in some ski time.
About the time they pass Parlin it starts to snow real heavy, 20 min later, visibility is down to zero so they start watching for a place to stop.
Just past Sargent’s they pass a house with a light on so they stop.
A lady in her early 40s answers the door. She explains that they can stay but they have to sleep in the milk shed. It is heated and will be comfortable. Since she is recently widowed, it would not be right to have male guests in the house overnight.
The next morning, they continue their trip.
About 9 months later, Steve gets a visit from a lawyer.
He then calls his buddy Tim
Tim, did you happen to go into the house that night?
Yes, I did.
Did you happen to use my name?
Yes I did, sorry
Well I just had a meeting with her Lawyer………
Uh Oh….
Yea, she just died and left me everything….Thanks
