I clicked on an ad at the bottom of the page here about a mom making $5000 at home as I wanted to check it out. I was willing to spend the $1.98 for the shipping until I happened to glance down to the bar on the bottom of the computer screen to check for the lock symbol indicating a secure website. Nope, no lock! No way am I going to put in the number for my prepaid debit card on an unsecure website. The little "Ads by Google" beneath the link/original ad had me fooled as I thought it was Google. Don't know if it actually is or not but I'm not willing to have my debit card cleaned out by some idiot.

The "ads by Google" only mean that they use Google's Adwords to put their ads on websites. It doesn't mean that you are checking out with Google. Also, not all websites are secure. The lock only shows whether they have encryption to secure the site when you are placing an order. Some sites won't have any of it "secure" or encrypted except for the actual checkout. So, it is also possible to not have the padlock on all of the website,... except for the checkout pages.
