I guess the shady business of reposessing a car or truck in the middle of the night is not the best way to go about it. Them shady repo guys should run regular business hours like most everyone else. Taking cars in the darkness of night is enough to raise anyones alert level to "somethings not right" Anyway it looks like shots have been exchanged and an old guys was killed over a car.

That is awful!! There definatly needs to be hours of operations for recovering vehicles. I would have fired shots too if someone stepped on my property in the middle of the night messin' with my vehicle. Its too bad someone had to die over this.

Has happened before.

One incident made head lines in Texas. Middle of the day, "business hours" tow driver hooked up car. As he was driving away, non paying owner shot him in the back through the cab of the tow truck.

Think the assailant was convicted and committed suicide. Repo is going to have to start taking a deputy with them. I know that will cost. Like it does to have a deputy present during an eviction. But it will likely be safer.

Middle of the night is NEVER a good idea for that.

I think one reason they go in the middle of the night is much of the time the car isn't easy to find during daylight hours as most people work then go shopping, visiting, or whatever in the evenings. I know that that job is one of the most dangerous there is or has ever been.

It won't be long til repo men will all be un-employed anyway. Chips that can shut off a car from the dealer's office are out there right now.

My fading vision caused me to lose my job as a machinist so I went bust. When the car repo dude came for the car, after 18 months of not making payments, I whined about just getting some new recaps and putting 10 gallons of gas in the thing. He said he had to go get a coffee and he'd come back in an hour, make sure there is enuff gas left to get me to town and slap any old tires ya have on it. I jusy told him to get it outta here now., but he tried!! in broad daylight too.

nobody ought to snoop around my place now in the dark. I still dont see so good but I switched to a 12 auto with 00 for that type occassion
