AINT LIFE FUNNY???...

I thought I was a Cancer Survivor...but it's comming back!? (To Die-Have to, I Guess)
My Dear Old Dad just died recently.
My two crazy sisters are fighting over his will; like vultures over a rotting corpse.
The American Economy is going into a tailspin...and I am going down with it too...I'm soon to be homeless unless I nail down that piece of homestead land Ive been looking for? This isnt Funny...Life is a bitch.

When I was young I wanted it all...fast horses, hot women, and a lot of money. Now?... now the only thing I want is to shoot my own meat, catch my own fish, grow my own vegetables, and most importantly...take those walks out into the trees amongst the wild ones; and come home each day; a little more balanced and one-with-God...peacefull. Know what I mean?? I hope you do; I hope you know what I mean!!

Sorry your cancer is coming back. I lost half my nose five years ago but I'm still clean. Heard of a new treatment, doing something to white blood cells then injecting them back into the cancer. Supposedly they kill the cancer. Hope you can learn more about it and may get help.

Amazing how a death in the family brings out the character or lack of in siblings and relatives. My inlaws did it right. Everything was appraised and the siblings could buy what they wanted at half the appraised value using their share of the estate. No fighting there.

Alas, our tastes do change with age. I liked fast cars and big women but as I matured I came to appreciate big cars and fast women. However, now I'm to slow to catch the fast women.

Anyway, here's to Tom T Hall,"faster horses, younger women and older whisky".

Ironclad,
Glad you got a laugh.

I lost the right side of my nose. A good plastic surgeon covered it with a piece of my forehead.

If I can find out more on the white cell thing I'll let you know.

JR,
Me and you, we just got to trade photos!! My surgeon used an eight inch hunk off of my chest. Basically a good job, but now I have to shave my nose twice a week!! (kiddding)

ps... God Bless the Doctors... arent we living in a world of Modern Medicine that was just unheard of a generation ago? I so love my old long gone Grandfather and the stories he told me, over the kitchen table.

"When I was your age, this might sound hard to understand, but back then the most modern thing we had... was a wagon wheel??
And just this morning on TV... I watched how we landed a man...on the moon!! My God!! It is just beyond me; it's changing so much, and so fast."..... he once said.

He lived to be... 100 ...what a long vision he got!!??

My Grandfather was one of the original settlers of the New Mexico Territory, back before it was a state. And working his cattle one day; spinning the rope round the saddle so as to hold up that steer that had been lassood...he accidentally got his fingers wrapped under and amongst the looped up rope. And it tore off two of his fingers and some of his hand!!!
Can you imagine? The local doctor was two hours away from the ranch, down in Roswell. But all the doctor could offer was bad news... "I need to amputate your hand".

So my Grandfather got back in his old Model-T and took off cross country...drove hundreds of miles by himself to Fort Worth Texas, where there were some surgeons who promised him a 10% chance of saving his entire arm...if he got there soon enough!!

It worked!! He had one heck of an ugly hand the rest of his life... but at least he had most of that hand; and he was glad to have it. But it broke his heart cus he used to be a fiddle player, before that happened. Life is a bitch.

Back then...people really were tougher than we are now today, weren't they?
