Does anyone have any experiance with these knives?

My dad has one of the more traditional looking ones with the wood handle but I'm thinking these might be a little better. I don't like how the handles on the wooden ones slope towards the blade. Seems tired or cold fingers could easily slip onto the blade. Was thinking these with the rubber handles might offer better grip. Thought of getting a couple of these as presents for friends. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have any personal knowledge of the knives, but HRC 57 is pretty decent steel hardness and Sandvik steel generally holds a good edge, you sometimes see it in scalpels and the like where you need a fine edge. At a glance it looks like a nice functional knife, but a final decision would likely depend on the balance and blade thickness which they don't seem to mention.

I bought a couple of them when I was on a knife buying kick a few years ago but I haven't used them. At that time, the general consensus was that they were a decent bang for the buck.

I bought the military model.

I own/use one of the orange clipper model in the kitchen. Handy-dandy knife. Am buying another one for hunting.

I bought a few of the 4" military, carbon-steel ones here:

Good knives, excellent for the price; I like carbon-steel better than stainless, seems to hold an edge better (and get there quicker when sharpening!)....balance is great, but it's just a utility knife, NOT a fighter, but would do in a pinch.....

Can't beat the Mora Knives, in quality and price....I need to buy a few more, for stock and Christmas Presents. :D

Mora's are good up to a point. I have had several models over the past couple of years but if i had to spend money on a inexpensive bushcraft knife i would go with the Condor brand from El Salvador.

Twice the knife for a few more dollars.
