Got a job!

I was in competition with 6 other applicants for a job with the local school, and today they called me in and offered me a contract. Front office work, not too shabby... at least I'll get weeks off for Christmas, and the holidays!

Best part - the school is across the street and a block down from our house, so NO drive time or gas money!

Finally get out of this fiscal stalemate and start getting some things done...

I really like the school - it is really small and rural so they don't have to follow all of the silly rules, have security, or teach useless things. They have an Ag teacher! And no class has over 13 students - most have only 6 or 8.

Congrats Wiley! I hope that it all works out for you. Even better that you wont be spending money on gas. Jobs are getting harder to come by these days. I wouldnt mind having a job with the kind of schedule that schools have. I like the idea of that time off during different times of the year that schools have off. You will have those stretches for projects and such. Awesome!
