It had to happen someday. :'(

"Dr. Nouriel Roubini believes we face a housing bust, a huge credit crisis, an oil shock and a deep recession. Just for starts."

"On Sept. 7, 2006, Nouriel Roubini, an economics professor at New York University, stood before an audience of economists at the International Monetary Fund and announced that a crisis was brewing. In the coming months and years, he warned, the United States was likely to face a once-in-a-lifetime housing bust, an oil shock, sharply declining consumer confidence and, ultimately, a deep recession."

Buck my comment on this is ya are what you eat. I mean what you can get from those type of predictions is a self fulfilled prophesy. Some people that listen to that type of stuff could make a rash move and start a landslide. Could it happen , sure could , but the media needs to just point out the facts not their predictions.

Is the price of oil is dropping? Or is it just my town? Be happy, every time it goes up, it creates demand for other ideas and makes them profitable and appealing to investers.

houseing, no kidding, we all knew what was happening in the trades... but what were contractors going to do..say no thank you, I don't need to eat.

I agree Flat,
I did stone work for people who got the idea to buy into the gas futchors markeet back at 2.00 a gallon..guess what that did. they should stick to the news, not speculate.

I am curious to see what happens and what is said after the elections. I have to believe that no one in our goverment or politics is going to to say too much gloom or doom before the elections.

Of course we're doomed. You're doomed. I'm doomed. He's doomed. They're doomed. We're all gonna DIE!

Eventually.... ::)

Sooner or later, the folks who are taking the free rides will have everything taken away from them. Too bad it doesn't happen in time to teach them a lesson; instead, all it teaches them is to show up on the six o'clock news (that then goes national) whining about how much they've lost, and how unfair life is. Duh. ::) Who here was told that life was fair? Hands? And why do politicians think it is ok to use our hard-earned money to save them from their own repetitive stupidity?

Those are MY burning questions about the economy....
