I have been watching FRONTLINE LTD SHS (FRO) for over a year now. It seems to be giving some real good dividends, although its movement is up and down. Anyone have any info or recommendations on this company?
Thanks.
Here it is: http://research.scottrade.com/public/stocks/snapshot/snapshot.asp?id=1&symbol=FRO
What I don't understand is, why would this company give dividends twice in the same quarter? Sometimes on the same day. That is over a 2.00 dividend per share.

FRO is 2 thumbs up as I like this sector and it has lagged given the rates have risen appreciably in the last month but note the sector is very volatile. You have to keep a very close eye on the Baltic Dry Index (BDI) .
Personally, I like DRYS the most in an up BDI. NM is the most hedged company so in theory it should fall the least percentage in a down market (but of course it hasn't). The companies with the largest dividends have held up the best.

I was going to pick some up, but in the past the price has been 45 - 50 and it has spiked to 60 a share for some reason, so I guess I'll wait and see if it comes back down.

FRO is back to $60 because the Baltic Dry Index (what they charge per day for their ships) is back to their November highs again.
3 weeks ago I loaded up on the sector as it appeared obvious the rates were going to skyrocket again.
I think the levels you are hoping to buy into FRO likely won't happen unless the dayrates collapse again.

My fear is, if I buy when it is higher than normal, it will drop back down and stay there. It has happened to me in the past.

CONSOLIDATED EDISON INC COM (ED) is another company on my watch list, because of the consistent dividends for the past 3 years. The stock is lower than normal right now.
