I ask all of you to please pray for our son. He has been in the military for 11 years. He has been deployed to Iraq twice, and now because of a health condition, he is being medically discharged. My husband and I are staying with him in Colorado ( we live in Mississippi) as he is under direct orders from the military not to drive. This has been hard on all of us, but we have no regrets helping our son in a time of need. He has also just recently just gone through a divorce....(been less than 1 month since the divorce was finalized). So many things going on in his life. I appreciate your prayers.

Being a veteran and a military widow I always keep the military in my prayers. Good luck.

Hey nananne :)
I wish I had the words to thank you for your son's service.. for the time he invested away from Home. Please tell him a momma bear is so proud of him..
In Isaiah 40:29-31 it is written..
29He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Nananne, when the Lord Jesus arose from the dead.. He left us with tools we would need in this life. His shed blood gives us authority over sickness, death, hell and the grave. There is a welling up inside of us that comes when trouble is near.. I believe it is the power of God given to us to use under His authority. We Believe what we Know about our Father, and not circumstances that present themselves, yes? Therefore we are able to walk in faith believing for our needs.. and the needs of our loved ones.. to be met according to God's will. In that, we have strength, peace and even joy. The Holy Spirit is a treasured Gift..
We know about compassion, for in part.. it was love and compassion that held the Lord Jesus on the cross of Calvary. As a mother, my heart breaks for your son.. the sweet child who grew to become a man and take his place in this rough world. My heart breaks for you and your husband who love him and see him now struggling. We will always love our babies..
I will hold your family, your Son, up before God asking for healing, for renewing, for comfort, for peace, for hope, for whatever God is working in this time of your lives, according to His perfect will. Please try to let us know how things go along so we can know what to continue to pray.
We fall to our knees in this life, but we are made so tough. With God in our midst, we can overcome ANYthing and give God all the Glory for carrying us through our seasons of sorrow.
Bearhugs momma
I wish I was near you to help cheer ya and to help with.. I dunno.. whatever I could do for you. But am here, nananne.. and will not forget.
Be Strong
God Bless and Keep your family

Grizzly, my heart is overwhelmed with your kind words. I felt the love of God sweep over me as I read your post....I usually tell my son about the prayer that is being said for him, but I am going to let him read your post and watch his heart be touched by it. Thank you....I believe you will be faithful in praying for this matter. I will continue to let you all know what is happening. Thank you again.

nananne There is a modern Christian song that encompasses those verses, I don't know who sings it but it really lifts my spirits. Another one I love, than many people are are tiring of, is Awesome God. That may not be the correct title but part of the chorus is "Our God is an Awesome God" and I think that says it all.

medical discharge?
first stop you need to make is the VA and see if he can get VA housing as well as get him is disability. Especially if the service is instructing him not to drive.

Precious Heavenly Father,
Thank You for bringing our son home from the harshness and dangers of war. Lord, he has stepped out of one battle zone into another, though. This young man has so much he is dealing with. He must be so tired.
Lord, Thank You for Your hand that is upon him. Please.. heal his body, his heart, his spirit. We do not die just because we struggle and suffer. We become stronger and better, I think. But Lord, when we are in the trying places.. it is so hard. Thank You, for the parents you have given to this man. Help him to see ahead of this place he is in, Lord, with eyes of faith. You can bring him to a place of peace and happiness.. wholeness. Help him by Thy Holy Spirit to know this an to hunger for You.
Oh Father God, please preserve all of our sons and daughters left back on the field of battle.. bless and comfort them.. bring them Home to us.
I ask all of these things in Jesus name,
amen
