After several weeks on unemployment, I was offered a job in a small office.
It turns out I have the boss from hell.
She's condescending, sarcastic, demeaning and super- micromanaging. I wasn't allowed to turn down the position, or I'd loose my unemployment. She has a history of a high turnover, and there's no higher power to correct her outrageous behavior.
If I want to be nice about it, I'll just say she's personality challenged.
The advice I need is - (beyond find another job asap and quit!) do I confront her with her unacceptable behavior? I long to tell her, "Keep on doing what you've always done and you will keep on getting what you've always gotten."
And then follow it up with a spreadsheet listing specific instances where she crossed the line with a column for her statments that are actionable. (As in, "lawsuit fodder!")
I have this vision of taking her to HER office, sitting down and saying, "we need to discuss your performance."
Maybe I'm just getting nuts from lack of sleep . . .
