I tried searching this topic to see if a single thread or topic group exists but I couldn't find one.
Dear Moderators... I'm wondering if you might be able consider adding a separate category specifically for product/ equipment and gear reviews. There might be one specific under the applicable strings - say Self-reliance, Homesteading, firearms. Inside each might need general sub categories such as BOB, BOV, small appliance, hand tools, etc... It'd give folks a place to relate their personal experience with a specific product and/ or model and then pass our experiences on. In these tight times this might help others better know where and where not to spend their dollars.
ex. I bought tent brand ABC at BigBox for $XX. the first night camping in it a light storm came in and the tent fell apart and shredded in the wind - DO NOT BUY!... you get my point. Give us a way to pass on our experiences and help steer each other clear of junk or towards a great value yet have it in an easy to find spot. Let others know that $50 sleeping bag held up and worked better than your BIL's $400 ultra snob 5000 bag on your hunting trip? A "BOV" category might include specific vehicle model, components, modifications that were worth it or lost or cost you money.
If there is a central spot where I can find this, please point me towards it.
