I saw yesterday the TV news report that Columbia Gas will LOWER their prices AGAIN.

Price from 6/11: .62060 per Ccf
Currently paying: .52440
Reported to be soon: .48000

From these reports I'd say Frackeling works!

How about your neighborhood?

btw electricity is now at 6.43 cents per kWh
From what I have seen this is easy street compared to most of the country!

I'm inclined to think that the lower gas prices are a result of less demand due to the mild temperatures that we've had this winter season. On my most recent gas bill from Dominion, a nice little chart reveals that the average temperature for the December billing period was 38° in 2011 vs. 23° in 2010. The November billing period was 5° warmer this year. That adds up to a lot of unused gas.
