HELLO ALL,
I'VE NEVER POSTED A THREAD HERE BEFORE, BUT THIS ONE NEEDS THE ATTENTION OF ALL FREEDOM LOVING GUN OWNERS. H.R. 45 IS LEGISLATION THAT WOULD REQUIRE ALL GUN OWNERS BE LICENSED BY THE FEDERAL GOVT.. THE LICENSING WOULD REQUIRE A PHOTO, THUMBPRINT, RECORDS OF ALL CURRENTLY OWNED FIREARMS, AND MUST BE RENEWED PERIODICLY. THESE ARE JUST SOME OF THE SNOOPING TACTICS RELATED TO THIS BILL. THE BILL WAS INTRODUCED BY ILLINOIS CONGRESSMAN RUSH, AND IS IN COMMITEE RIGHT NOW
PLEASE CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE AND TELL THE TO KILL THIS BILL

I contacted my representative and she sent me a letter assuring me that if it came to the house floor that she would vote no. Check to see if your representative is on the house judiciary committee. if so, write them.

Sorry, but this is nonsense. This bill has been presented for the last 5-6 years and has NEVER gotten a single co-sponsor. Even radical dems acknowledge that it will never go anywhere. I suggest anyone who has an interest in any bills concerning firearms register at Govtrak,us and subscribe to email alerts on any bills you are interested in. govtrack.us (http://www.govtrack.us/congress/subjects.xpd?type=crs&term=Firearms%20and%20explosives)

Look up the CIFTA treaty. If it comes up in the senate, it might pass. Not likely to come up, as even with a 60 seat majority the democrats won't try it.
