22,22mag ruger single sixs
ruger faqs says to use only 22lr
I have one I bought new in 74
that came with only one cyl it had
a star in front of the tirgger guard
the manuel said this ment 22s 22l or lr
I have never see another I thing the
head space is different in 22,22 mag

I think you still need the other chamber for the .22 mag.
Mine came with both, and you need to just switch for one to the other.

The .22lr and the .22 magnum are entirely different cartridges. They are both rimfire. They both fire a .22 caliber bullet. BUT...........

The chamber on each is entirely different.
You cannot chamber a .22 magnum in a .22 lr.
It is unsafe to fire a .22lr in a .22 magnum chamber.
And, vice versa.
They make separate cylinders because they are different Cartridges.

Also, 22 LR bullets are .222" in diameter... 22 Win. Mag's are .224" in diameter...

And "yes" you need a seperate cylinder for each cartridge for your revolver...
