You all know I have a Security-Six, but I am thinking of picking up a GP-100. What do y'all think of this gun? Also, I am thinking of unloading my .45's (with the exception of my Marlin), as I find the recoil too much in the wheelchair. I am thinking of loading my .357's with handloaded 38 +P+ rounds with Keith bullets. Who will this be for defending the homestead?

Unloading .45's, like music to my ears. ;D

The 38's should serve you well with minimal recoil as it is a heavy piece and ya gotta love the double action. Puttin .38's down range would be like kissin your sister though as she was made for heavy work. What sight ya gonna put on the beast?

I love mine in SS, shoots well and built like a tank.
IMHO, good choice.

Sorry to hear you are having recoil troubles :(. The GP100's I have fired have been very good, and with .38+P+ you should do very well against 2legged varmints and most small to medium 4legged ones.
