the m1911 colt 45 serial number 70511 was shipped april 23, 1914 to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania,s 7th division..the division was sent to guard the US/Mexican border 1915-16...to Camp Hancock Georgia at the on-set of WW1...where the soldiers from PA, were re-orginized together to become the 28th Infantry of the 56th Brigade, The colt 45 and the famous (Red Keystone) 28th Infantry she was part of from PA have a historical part in ww1
The 45 pistol is 94 years old this april..she is ever part original, has all the correct proof stamps and has never been reworked....email me for a picture & history...dbhoward@windstream.net

Cool story. Love to hear about 1911's defending America and Americans, She'll do so for the NEXT hundred years, I suspect!
