I'm looking to pick up two new side arms this year. One of the ones I want is a nice "hammerless" .38 snubby.

'Can't afford a S&W, those tend to be pricey.

Taurus makes such a gun if you can find one, but I dislike the key lock they have built in these days and I have hears some not-so-good things about Taurus latley.
Any other hammerless snubby on the market?
Anyone buy a revolver from Charter Arms 2000 recently?

Im showing a hammerless stainless CA for $302. I picked up a S+W airweight for $350 out the door new (the 637) . I would get the smith and spend a little extra. My .02

Charter Arms (CA) *has been going in and out of business for about the last 15 years.

I have a 1980 era CA undercover, blued steel, not a bad little gun. *CA's has never been a top of the line gun. They are/were *more of a "good for the money" type firearm. I inherted the one that I have.

Neither now nor then has the CA line been rated for +P loads. *Also, they don't hold a *great deal of resale value. *If I was looking for a snubbie I'd look at a S&W 442 or 642. They cost more about twice what a CA does but they're twice the gun. *
