View Full Version : A Great Folding Knife Bargain

One of the best bargains around on a high quality folding knife is (surprisingly) at Walmart. They sell a Spyderco brand Native model knife for just under $40. This is about $10 less (counting shipping costs) than you will pay for this knife from the lowest cost on-line knife discounters. Suggested retail is $74.95.

This is the least expensive knife (even at regular retail prices) for a knife made using S30V steel, which rated by many knife makers as the best steel used in any mass produced knives.

I would have never thought to look to Walmart for a high quality knife, but this is a good one. The aesthetics of this knife might not appeal to a traditionalist, but have a look at it.

(I am not an owner or investor in either Spyderco or Walmart companies. I just like bargains, and like to share them.)

Wanna talk 'bargains'? I found (at W-M) a little 3" folder for 96 cents. :o
They're Ozark Trail brand and cheaply made but, I bought a few for possible future barter. Better than nothing.
I wonder if my store mis-priced them?

The Native is a discontinued model that is currently selling for $60 at Spiderco so the $40 is an exceptional deal.

Wally World used to mark stuff way down when they first came to town up here in the Northeast a decade and a half ago.

I found a Buck Nighthawk rattling around in the box with no sheath for $5.00 once, and several of various kinds of pocket knives for 25% of regular pricing over the course of a few years. After I got the Buck, I kept swinging by the knife counter like our cat who found a mouse in a concrete block hole once and now checks that block every time he walks by it.
