The Gerber EZ-Out is a knife I picked up at the local Wal-Mart about two years ago. It is a simple, inexpensive knife composed of a stainless steel blade and a Kraton grip with rubber inserts. It has a removable clip for pocket carry.
I have carried this knife constantly since I picked it up and it has always served me well, and at a price of around $39 it's hard to do better. Even after much hard use and daily carry, the blade hasn't corroded or discolored and stays sharp with a few strokes across a stone from time to time.
The only problem I have encountered with the knife is with the screw that holds the belt clip on has a tendency to work loose, causing me to loose the little nut that holds it together. After replacing the nut and putting a bit of locktite on the threads I have had no more trouble with this.
The word from here is the EZ-Out is a good utility type survival knife, suited for everyday carry and if needed a handy self-defense tool in a pinch. If you are looking for a good lock back folding knife and have an extra $39 bucks burning a hole in your pocket this knife would be worth looking into.
