horizontal knife sheath

how do or would you wear your hor. sheath. back,front,side.?thanks

This type of sheath can be a pain if the knife
is big or heavy. Carry in the true horizontal
position is always fighting gravity.

It's better to have the knife at a slight
angle or straight down for ease of
secure carry & draw.

If one must carry a knife in the horizontal
the small of the back is the best place.

I met a SEAL who carried his primary knife horizontally across the belly under his magazine pouches. Small of the back is best when NOT wearing LBE gear though.

Small of the back is where I carry mine. W/ a right hand draw it's quick and out of the way, keeping the front of my tac-belt free for more accessories like ammo pouches and first aid kits etc.

Matter of preference really.
