i made my first sale of a knife to my district manager. he saw one of my knives and asked if i could do some custom work and i asked what he was looking for and produced a 4 inch bushcrafting knife with mild steel guard and pomenell (sp) with his name carved into the handle in nordic runes.

Waaaaay back before i joined the military (at 19) i had my own little cultlery business. It just was not doing so well despite the interest it recieved because no one wanted to pay what a knife was worth in man hours let alone quality.

Now you have me wanting to dig around to find some of the very few i might still have a round or pictures of them.

Keep it up! This is a valuable and needed skill should it hit the fan- everyone needs a good knife.
