Does anyone know how to re-scale (re-handle) a
folding lockback ?

I finally found some yellow delrin to rescale one of my
many lockback folding hunters and am about ready to
jump into the project but I don't want ruin one of my
better knives learning.

Why Yellow delrin?

I collect yellow handled knives and the one knife I don't have
is lockback folding hunter in yellow so I want to make one.

Anybody able to help??

You might try epoxy glue. I have used it to put slab handles on a fixed blade (along with rivets). One thing I did was mix a little flour into the epoxy, just a bit. It will color the epoxy to something that looks more natural. It has a kind of yellowish tint so it might go well with the yellow handle material you mentioned.

Though they deal mostly with slip joints, here are some pages that might be of help:

From knifeforums.com (registration reqired, but it's free):

Chris crawford's tutorial "How to make a slip joint folder":

Alvin's page;

Links to info on building folding knives:

"The Complete Book of Pocket Knife Repair" by Ben Kelly, Jr. is a good read with a lot of useful information. You can find it pretty cheap ($11 -$12) on the web.
