I know that people take a lot of pride in their lawns and some go to great lengths to kill the weeds that grow along with the grass, but I have to laugh at myself every time I mow. I walk along watching the dandelions, plantain, winter cress, chicory etc. coming out the chute (there's a little grass mixed in too) and think of all the work I'm doing to get rid of something so useful. Then I'll go bust my back in the gardens to grow other things. Yes, I like to keep my lawn mowed and I do love the garden veggies, but it does seem funny when I think about it.
