Can somebody PLEASE offer some advise for a sinus headache? I get 'em so bad they make me sick to my stomach and if I bend over, it feels like my eyeballs are going to pop out.

I would take willow to ease the pain. *To help relieve your sinuses I would drink a tea made from eucalyptus(sp) and ephedera. *Do not take the ephedera if you have heart problems and keep the tea away from children because both of the herbs are not advised for children. *Message the area around your eyes and sinuses. Start at the base of the nose and move to the top of the nose in an upward pull motion helps and a warm towel placed over the face may help a little. *I would advise you to seek the source of the problem and treat it from the ground up. *If it is because of the flu then treat with goldenseal, good vitamin supplement, and plenty of rest. *If it is allergies, the only advice I can give is take a zyrtec. *I have yet to find an herbal treatment that can help me with allergies like zyrtec can. *

I don't know if this will help you but it did a lot for me. I use a neti-pot usually once a day. First few times are a little weird, but it has really helped reduce my sinus problems.

Thank you both for the suggestions. The headaches ARE brought on by allergies rivahmom. I tried a warm, moist wash cloth and the massage you mentioned and it did let it up some. The tea sounds promising too, I'll give it a try. I used to drink a cup of mullein tea every morning and that seemed to help a little, but lately nothing seems to do the trick. Dearg, I didn't know what a neti-pot was until I read your post, but I'm gonna try that too. I looked in to it and it makes sense to flush the sinuses out and get rid of what's causing the problems in the first place. Thank you both again, I really appreciate it.

what really is cheap and works is hydrogen peroxyde. diluted to 2% and put in an empty nasalspray bottle. spray several times a day. It takes a couple of days, last summer I had the worst one I ever had, every tooth in my head was hurting and I had to be matron of honor. it was so bad it took the h.p. four days to clear it up. we have been using homeopathic allergy medication for close to thirty years now and find it works better for us than anything else.

I tried the peroxyde treatment first, because I had it on hand. It took a couple days, but I haven't had a headache in three days now. ;D I can't thank you enough bookwormom. I'm going to try the other suggestions too. Can't have too many cures for what ails ya'. Thanks again.
