I don't see much usefulness for a gun. If things go bad like we discuss here, Every deer would be dead within a week. A good solid door bared shut beats a gun fight any day.

This is just sad. I was watching national geo. yesterday and they aired a hit piece about firearms. All of those wonderful guns that are confiscated or traded are taken to a place where they are all crushed. They can continue trading their freedoms for short term comfort and the day will soon come when they will have neither.

my daughter did a report for school and I don't actually know the exact # but there are so many deer in Idaho that every person living there would have to kill like 3 a day for the next 6 months or something astronomical like that

People that are stupid enough to trade their guns for a few beads and bobbles or $100 of frozen fish and tofu shouldn't have guns to start with. When things go bad they will be the first to perish as with the culling of the herds. Stupid people have never survived very long exept in a socialist society and even then only as long as they had some usefulness which means not very long.

The next time one of us hears about a gun exchange like that we should spread the word. Some of those arms should easily be worth triple what they're offering so just post a sign and make a counter offer. I suppose it depends upon local laws but it shouldn't be any more complicated than a private transaction. ??? (I think I would pass on the grenades though . . . I never could throw very far anyway).

Around here, they're getting smarter (as much as bureaucrats can) and actually recognizing and refusing junk.

Don't worry. The government will have a special camp prepared for those people that can't fend for themselves. Count on the government to protect you.
