Huge Eric Sloane fan here. I have a few of his books and love to study the drawings. So sad that's he's passed.

His books & writings are some of my favorites. I own a couple of the books that I found at library discard sales and hope to find more for my home library. Don't bother to buy the Dover editions, they are reformatted and hard to read.

I collected every book of his that I could find some years ago. Some have gotten away from me now, and I'd like to replace them. One of my favorites was "Diary of an Early American Boy", which I believe was an actual diary he used, then illustrated it with drawings. LOTS of cool info in that! :D Windows made of bottles set in mud chinking, pulling stumps with oxen, the boy sleeping in an unheated room, how they built their log cabin, too, IIRC.
