I thought we had a rule agenst profanity here? Don't use those two words together, rince your keyboard out with soap :)
I hate to be a stick in the mud, but do you ever wonder what those sorts of statements, as commical as we find them... make the smarties & do-gooders of the world think we are some how stupid or Ignorant? Those people don't know any better.
Sure some people are gun tote'n hicks..and that's fine..it's a free country...but they only represent a sliver of the people who enjoy gunmenship, hunting or collecting Firearms. *Ever seen how the drive by media shows C. Heston in the NRA speach, they only use his last remarks..."from my cold dead hands". *the *Libs Paint him like a loon.
The Drive by media *never shows Tom Sellick (sp?) Vs Rosie on her show...and you never hear snippets from pro-gun, NRA Leader Ted Nugent's radio interviews..
Yes, he Looks like a nutty rock star, he is a smart person...he didn't get rich being stupid. On radio, it can be easy to forget who he is based on his ability to speak in an educated way.
what about John Kerry, don't you think that he showed us all how he, and other Libs feel about the subject of Gun owners when he said...."I'm here to git me a hunt'n licence" >:(
Some of the smartest men I know are also sportsmen or regular target shooters. Many sportsmen constantly think about the scince and physics behind rifles and shotguns. Windage, distance, Feet persecond, musle memory..and don't forget the care and diciplin that it takes to keep an firearm in working order.
Or the Passion, the love we have with our arms in this country. Each and every one of my firearms has a story. They all came from family members, most of them now passed on. Or to take a rifle out of it's case is a chance to think about some old friends, time with my father... or make new time. *
It's not all about shooting and killing, and I'm sure some of the sportsmen here could relate.
So Gentlemen/ladies...Are we not giving them a point to use agenst us, when we buy a shirt at the state fair that says, Gun control is hitting what your shooting at.
Just somthing I wonder about.

We love firearms so automatically we are redneck, militia scumbags, and the irony of it is that without firearms the country wouldn't have made it this far and they probably wouldn't be alive to point fingers in the first place.

Who cares what they think? Their attempts to remove our 2nd Amendment Right isn't based on the number of teeth in ones head.
What was it, just a year ago they tried another line, by restricting ammunition? They're scurvy-dogs who aren't going to be happy until the people of this nation are disarmed. Once that happens, kiss all you knew good-bye.......

I agree with all you both have said... but some don't understand.. based on their perseption, or lack of education in the subject of arms.
All they know is formal education and their own perseption. * For example. *A friend of mine, rather well known man, so I won't use his name.... did research for John Edwards.
In a long talk over supper he told me that he made a call to random voters. One of them turned out to be a man who voted strictly the 2nd amendment.. My friend is liberal but he has a desire to know why people think they way they do. By the way,He grew up in Harlem NYC...
In the end, my friend had no idea that some people are into the scince of balistics, or Feet Per second, and what have you.
Untill that phone call, he was of the opinon that everyone who had a firearm was eather a thug in the street, a cop...or a beer drinking, toothless, pickuptruck drive'n goofball.
But how could he have any other knowlage?
To win the heats and minds of some of the people agenst us... I think it would be wise to remember the thought pravoking statements such as,
When Guns are Outlawed,
Only OUTLAWS will have guns.
Let's stoop to their educated level.

There was a time that I tried to make everyone happy by being what they wanted me to be. I was five then. When I turned six it was just to hard to do that anymore. Now I don't care what people think , I do what makes my wife happy (well sometimes ) Gun control is like bladder control the older ya get your either going to pee yourself or shoot yourself in the leg which will make you pee your self anyhow.

di you folks see a program called The Unfinished Civil War? It was a "look" at CW reenactors like myself. In the film, they follow two men, A union man who is...PC. He sleeps in a slave Cabin, and did a little marching I think he was a school teacher.
Then the focuse on the Reb, a fork truck driver who holds a unit meeting (club meeting realy) at his double wide home in a trailor park. He's a typical working man in Dixie.
The people making the film would get him all up-tight about a subject..any hot button that would tick off most people from a rural life...and then, flip on the camera.
It was total BS. I meet the Reb in G-burg when tehy filmed the thing, (he took my shoes after I took a hit, all for show)
the motivation was to make a picture that painted working class, rural minded, history buffs as nut jobs. The camera can LIE
Please don't think that I am a conformist, I'm saying...don't give otherwise uninformed people any reason to beleave the hype
