I already got a job ;)
I'll leave the others for you guys so I don't get the offers you would otherwise get.

I am holding out for one I like. I didn't pay $30,000 to learn job skills so I can work for $10.00 an hour without benefits.

Congratulations on your job! No big box store I hope.

Negatory on the box store, looked at the list today of people attending and wish now I was going despite. Looks incredible.
Hope mine works out well, I know what you mean about the paying for an education and getting chump change offers.

Did you get a haircut and a real job?

frankly, nope. Hair cut yes, job no. Peanuts. Best offer was $12.00 with no benefits, and no help relocating.

Damn it I could just stay right here, get a CDL for a lot less than what I spent ($35,000) and get a job driving a water delivery truck for $15.00.

So I don't know I am thinking of shit canning the whole be a gunsmith idea, save it as a hobby I love, and get a job that I will keep up with living expenses.

Where did you two go to school at? There is a school in Co. called Colorado school of trades that I am looking at. You 2 dont make it sound very promising.

I went to Colorado School of Trades for three months. I found them very lacking in teaching skills. I quit and moved to trinidad to go to Trinidad State. No comparison in my opinion, Trinidad State is better. Come to the summer NRA classes.

Try any class. You will see the difference.

I went for 5 months to CST, go to one of the Community College courses. No questions asked. CST is not much of the school it once was.

None of the attendees panned out for me. Of course if they were in an anti gun State I didn't drop a resume. Who knew that most major manufacturers were in Illinois? or New York.

A few others were promising, then I found out they teach you one thing. That way you don't learn enough and strike out on your own.

I have my fingers crossed for one in Texas currently, General Repair with some CCW and Cowboy action Pistol smithing on the side.

Upstate NY is very pro-gun

If Upstate owned the legislature and made the Laws that would be great. Except like any number of other States, NY has an uberliberal major mteropolitan center with a population greater than the rest of the State combined.

what is writen and what is enforced are diffrant. I read of people talking about corrup cops..but here, it works in the locals favor, and that's all I can say about that. ;D

I have no intention of staking my Freedom on a corrupt cop looking the other way, while doing something illegal myself.

if you move to upstate you will find most of the cops think many of the petty stuff is a waste of their time. if you own a black powder cap and ball revolver in NY you need a permit....but with all the Mett made up that way..what cop is going to bother enforcing a law he himself disslikes?

The kind with his supervisor or supervisors supervisor standing over him. the kind that can see himself unemployed if not enforcing the unjust law. People will do whats good for themselves and their own first. Nope no way am I going to contribute (in taxes) to an antigun state coffer. I need no such permits here. I would jump at a chance to work at doug Turnbull restorations, the skills I could learn there would be most valuable. However the business is located in upstate NY and that is a nonstarter for me. I take it that upstate NY is your home and you are very proud. Justifiable. there are many things to be proud of. My only issue is the unjust gun laws and I will vote with my wallet on that issue.
