If anyone needs prints or pictures of any jigs or fixtures related smithing, let me know, I'm sure I can help. Barrel vices, action wrenches, reamer extensions etc.

HAHAHAAHAH..... I just talked to those guys at the Shotshow, Speedy and some blonde guy with glasses.
Good program, my Instructor went there. I am finishing up my degree at MCC, was going to finish up CST program which I started in 2000, but had to quit. Now I am back in and finishing it all up.
I'll trade you some tool and jig prints for the prints of the little .22 single shot you all get to make!

The Remington #6. I have tracings of the templates.......
Speedy is teaching the Bench metal, Basic Mill, Basic Barrelfitting. The other guy was Dave Nolan he teaches Converisions (Sporterizing Mauser 98s), Stockmaking I (wood blank), Stock making II (semi inlet) , and this semester 1911A1.
I'll see if I have dimensions still written down for the six . I had started at CST. I was really disappointed in that school and moved down to Trinidad. TSJC will take longer but, I feel I am getting a better education. Are you going to the Brownells Gunsmith Job Fair the 22nd? I am going to pass this time and see if there is one in the Fall.

I'll agree with you there buddy, CST is ripping people off. MCC's program is on par with Trinidad as far as the way it is set up, and despite it taking longer, it is better.
I was signed up to go even though I am only a first year student, but I was conveniently forgotten on the list when plane tickets were purchased, so no, I am not going this go around. However the next one will see me there.
I got a Brownell's scholarship and was looking forward to conversing with Fred again, but we will see. Only 9 companies supposed to show up this time, but they are trying to get more for the next time.
Let me know what you would like prints of as far as tools go, and I will get them scanned somehow.

Hey I haven't gotten exact dimensions for the TriniRem #6 yet. Speedy gonzalez is working on a several jigs and fixtures to machine some of the parts vs hand filing. I don't agree with it since I think first years need the experience hand filing.
Do you have a recent copy of Autocad installed on your computer? I am thinking of buying that and Solid works. There is talk of updating the program with a third year here to include CNC machining. A $40,000 CNC mill was donated to the Gunsmithing program here.
I have the older 1st year projects book photo copied. It has a few good things and some basic like chisels or a barrel makers rasp to a shotgun dent remover and engine turning index.
