Facing a safe target (tree, plywood, etc,..) place the screwdriver in the palm of your hand, blade between your first and second fingers, and thumb. Standard blade would be best. Place the handle in your palm, tip between the two first fingers and thumb, with a firm but not too tight grip. It should be able to just slide out of your hand, arrow straight. The higher up the handle, the better control. Then, using the force of gravity, extend your arm powerfully forward like a punch to the gut and let the blade slide between the fingers into the target. Don't fling or rotate; it messes up your accuracy. With practice, you should be able to pin a tree with a minimal amount of effort/ movement. You can practice range and distance as desired.

Boredom? *Win free shots at parties? *Because I can? An unexpected weapon with an ordinary, everyday tool? * To me, every skill is a plus. *Just something to do, really. That's why, I guess!
Remember to keep your arm straight, especially your wrist. This is an adaptation of a martial arts move. Don't fling the blade like you might with a knife (note: DON'T thow knives at trees.. way to ruin a blade) because a screwdriver is not balanced like a well made knife, so the handle heavy end will throw off your accuracy.
