Well last Sunday went to a local event here called trade days and they have everything from chicken to firearms a local fairground is opened 3 times a year for this event!!!As me and my wife call it going treasure finding! I found a Winchester Model 68 22 this one dates back till 1934-35 range no serial numbers on many of the older Winchester Single Shots it was in good condition except the orginal sight on the front was replaced and the rear arpeture sight was missing haggled down to 1oo bucks for it and I took it home.

Here's a couple of pics

I did find the missing arpeture and have replaced that but still looking for a model 97A Front ramp site in order to put it back to the orginal condition. :)

I wouldnt call paying 100 dollars for a well worn 22 single shot a good deal, winchester or no, its like 70 something years old...

Its buys like that which has caused me to give up on the flea market "trade days" and garage sales for that matter.

Jpollock30 The Winchester's keep going up in value the same day I bought this one I was offered over $200.00 bucks for twice at the trade day show. The Winchesters bolt in this rifle alone I have seen sell for a 100.oo on ebay but I just enjoy the hobby of collecting ol Winchester rimfires and let me tell ya it's a shooter !!! ;D I respect your point of view to you and some I'm insane but for us Winchester fans what a deal I got!!! ;)

I did not know Browning had bought the logo, I was told they just closed down that line and kept everything else. ;D :) ;D Michael

Hmm,

well if you really feel that way...

I have an almost brand new (as in fired like once) Winchester lever action 1894 legacy in 44 magnum/special that I'd happily sell to you for 1,000$. Id rather have the Marlin anyway.

Might try Numrich Arms for the part your needing. The gun is old, yes. But that is o.k. too. I have several from 50 to over 100 years old. And some less old. I try to see the price of a gun I'm looking at/for on gunbroker. com. I ususally find a price there. It may take awhile sometimes but what people are paying for a gun is what their paying. Anyone can tell you a price of one. Their not always right.
