My husband got back the one he sold *20 some years ago. *He always wanted to buy it back but the guy wouldn't sell it but before he passed away he told his wife to give hubby back his rifle. *Anyway the reason the guy would never sell it back was because he said it was a tack driver and he had lot of pest chipmunks and used take their heads off with that .22.

I tried the rifle out and it is okay...a trigger job might make it better but AS IS, it doesn't shoot any better than my 10/22.

Of course, the important thing is it's sentimental value for hubby. *But *does anyone have a Marlin Model 20 and what's your opinion of their accuracy?

Are you shooting the same kind of ammo he was? .22 long rifles can be very picky about what they'll shoot well.

No. Never thought of that. I seem to remember he shot CCI's. Thanks.
