I can't find primers at any online or local store and nobody knows when they will have them. What gives?

It's Obamas fault. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Actually it is.
Everyone is afraid of what he and the Democrats are going to ban and panic buying has resulted.
Lots of people are stocking up on reloading supplies.

Well....the one upside...if there is one. When the shelves begin to fill up it'll be all brand new stock! ;D

Primers started drying around the middle of 2008 and the supply has not bounced back yet. Same goes for many of the affordable bullets that are sold per hundred. Most of the bullets available are the more expensive ones. I guess the supply can't catch up with the demand.

The only primers I see for sale are on gunbroker - prepare for sticker shock.

Where are you located? "Industrious" types here are starting to try to sell primers for $55.00-$60.00 per thousand. Highway robbery.

its in gillette wyoming. on I-90 *in the northeast corner of the state,

he has remington large pistol and rifle $31 a 1,000 or 3.10 100
and some cci small magnum pistol 28 a 1,000 or 2.80 a 100

i bought some only a few months ago, $19 a 1,000 , i dont know why i didnt see this shortage coming, that would have been a good time to stock up.
but we need to simply pay more now and get them.

used primers can be reloaded if nothing else is available, there are books on it.

Interested in buying them and shipping to me? Completely legal and above board. I would pay the shipping and hazmat fees (these are required by Federal law). I am thinking you could find out how many he has, and let me know and I would buy them all.

Sorry , have to brag , I just picked up 5,000 + large rifle primers and two ammo cans at a yard sale for $50 . Most gun shops here have primers in stock .

I'm looking for 6K small rifle and 6K small pistol. Anyone want to ship me primers? I will pay you for them up front and the hazmat fees/shipping as well. Maybe throw in 20 bucks for your trouble.

Any takers? I am in Southern Oregon.

one shop here only has large pistol,
The other has a remington and cci small pistol for $28 a k, no more small rifle.

Can you find out which Remington primers they have? I would be interested in say 3K Remington 6 1/2 and 3K CCI small pistol (could you find out which CCI primers they are?). What I am hoping for is 3K Remington 6 1/2 and 3K CCI 200, 250, 300 or 350. Just let me know.

Thanks

Doug

Yes, I am picky but not choosy. ::)

If Remington 1 1/2 and CCI magnum is all they have, I will work with that.
