Well today sure was funny! I was out in the yard getting another raised bed built when I heard the kids discussing money. They wanted ice cream and a toy but only had enough money for either or.

They disappear for a little bit into the backyard and then the whole lot of them make their way up front. Each of them is carrying a chair and various other things they need. They opened up the front gate and sat up their first business.

These girls had went all around the yard and picked every flower/weed they could and filled a bowl up. The 6 year old made the sign and they proceeded to carry other signs up and down the sidewalk in front of the house.

Well my Dad comes out and informs them that they won't make any sales. That the flowers they have are not the type that anyone wants to buy. As hes pulling out of his drive their first customer shows up and they make a sale.

I guess the Lord figured to show Daddy a thing or two today. All in all they sold $6.00 worth of those weeds. Of course they learned a valuable lesson, and the community around here helped to teach it. Anyways it was a good day to be out watching them from the sidelines.

That's a nice thing to wake up and read. Reminds you there is still some children willing to do something for something and older folks willing to try to help them do so, and gramps got a lesson to.
I have a vase of them on the kitchen table that still looks fair after about 3 or 4 days my grandsons brought me in. They conned me out of an ice cream sandwich, LOL.

It really was a great thing to watch. Savannah (the sign writer) couldn't remember how to spell flower *so she came in the house and copied it first off the "flour" sack.

The people that did stop had lots of questions for them. Was this their first business? Did they like selling flowers? And so on. It was just to cute to watch their responses. When business slowed down a bit they figured out a new "gimmick".

Sierra ran in the house (shes 8 ) and got her guitar, and after that if you stopped for flowers you got a song too. They are industrious for sure lol. *I was certainly a proud momma watching them.
