POCKET GOPHERS

Has anyone out there got any advice on how to get rid of pocket gophers, short of dynamite? We are worried about setting traps as we have some farm cats and two dogs. They are the same reason poison isn't feasable either.

The little rodents have raised heck with the root crops in the garden, and are now starting on the yard.
