I have started raising rabbits and I plan on saving there skins to make things with. Do any of you have a good site that shares how to make things out of rabbit skins, like coats and mittens.
Also, any good rabbit recipes. What do you all think about the taste of rabbit?

A simple recipe for rabbit is to soak the raw meat in buttermilk overnight (in the refrigerator, or course). Then cook it on the grill as you would chicken, applying your favorite BBQ sauce.
As for the skins, a simple method of curing would be to tack the fresh skins to a board (fur side down), apply a generous amount of fine salt to the skin and let set until dry. Afterwards, scrap any excess salt off and apply glycerin to the skin. It'll take some practice on dry times, amount of salt and glycerin before you produce soft, pliable pelts.

I also recently started raising rabbits for meat and have alot of links on my page. One on tanning hides and one on making a rabbit fur blanket. I can't wait till I get enough skins! check them out I would list them but I would have to do alot of back and forth copy and pasting. look on the valuable links page here's my site and let me know how its going, and where you are from http://www.freewebs.com/clarkshomestead/
