it was slithering out of a hens nest when husband went in the chickenhouse. Boy those are big snakes. I hope that was the last one, they ate all our goslings, chicks and heaven knows how many eggs.

wow, that's rough. I never had a snake problem. When I lived in Arkansas, I used to have a black snake in the yard that would eat the mice and rats but never the poultry.
