Can you provide a link to these posts? I am using FireFox and have not come across the posts. We can usually tweak them, but need to know which post.

Pat

I have Firefox and Opera and have tried to get it to do what you think it is doing. However, the columns are automatically resizing no matter what size I make the window. Also, MelleeRN's link automatically "wraps". I am assuming that her link may not be wrapping in you browser. If that's the case, it is most likely your own settings and not a problem with the boards or MelleeRN's posts.
Just my opinion but, all the boards resize just fine on my computer.

I tried the threads mentioned - they came out okay for me. I tried all three layouts:
One Forum. Three Layouts. Your Choice: *
Ads Right *
Old Style *
Full Width

Still okay. I do have a suggestion on Mellee's signature line (the last line of the post). She has a URL/Link listed there. My browser shows the link truncated - it goes out as far as "http://silvay.webs.com/apps/auth/redirect?inviteID=21100919&hash=590fb67baab52ecd0c 392cf356b0886c&action=respond&next="

Take not of the fact that this wraps on my screen.

I have noticed in the past that long URL's will cause problems with wrapping and exceeding the margins. I probably have some setting in the browser that takes care of that - what ever it was I don't konw and probably stumbled across it by accident.

I can make a suggestion on handling long URL/Links - you put in a URL flag and take advantage of text.

The format is {url=http:\yadda\yadda\}text to appear as link{/url}
(the curly braces - {} are replaced by square braces - [])

So, if I wanted to post a link to the last post where Mellee put her picture, I can either list the entire URL:
http://www.backwoodshome.com/forum/yabb/forum2.pl?board=gen-photos;action=display;num=1157892602;start=150#150

or I can list it in this manner:
type something clever here (http://www.backwoodshome.com/forum/yabb/forum2.pl?board=gen-photos;action=display;num=1157892602;start=150#150 )

You can examine this, I think, by doing a quote of this message. Both of the above links will take you to exactly the same location.

Keeping links short helps tremendously and is something everybody can do. If we encounter a problem we generally will modify the post ourselves. If the problem is in Mellee's signature line, I can't access that.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Pat

PS - I have also noticed, while posting this, that the format works better as Ads Right layout.
