;D does anyone know where i can find some cheap crafting supplies. I do a lot of work with dream catchers. I get a large number of supplies from "hobby lobby" but i am looking for a cheaper supplier. ;D

I'm not familiar with what supplies you would need (feathers, beads, etc?) but if you give me a better idea, I can probably help you find a less expensive source.

I get my stuff from the local thrift shops , they usually have a craft section or least mine do.

I used to make dream catchers. I would harvest wild grape vines, (we lived in North Arkansas then and they were all over the place). Would wrap them around a coffee can and dry them over night in a slow oven. The next day I would cut the vines down one side of the can and turn them into rings. I would cut the edges at an angle so they would overlap and wrap simulated sinew around them to hold them together. Then weave the knot design and hang a crystal in the middle. I didn't buy anything but the simulated sinew. I bought that in bulk on the internet. I think I got it from Tandy Leather I don't know if they still have it or not. If you do a google search you can probably find it.

I went ahead and did a google search and found these sites:
http://www.nocbay.com/store/sinew.html
http://www.chickadeetc.com/supplies.html
They also have some additional supplies beads, feathers etc if you want to buy them instead of finding your own.

I agree with Flatwater about thrift shops but don't restrict yourself to the craft section. There are some mighty strange clothes that may be covered in beads. belts with metal circles from the '70s, maybe a boa (neck wrap) for feathers. J ust look with an open mind and good crafting.
