I recently got the long and round knitting looms and completed my first project. Yay me!! I'm a little excited because I am a complete goof when it comes to sewing and similar pursuits. Does anyone know where I can find more projects to try? We can only use so many scarfs and hats. Can socks, sweaters and other clothing be made with them also?

There's a pattern for a Christmas stocking and for a pillow here (the pillo is just a tube with the ends sealed shut). Also links to other loom knitting sites.

Thank you for the link. I may try to do the pillow next.

You could ask Leera, I know that she just got a knitting loom and has been making things with it.

I have used knitting looms for a while. I've made ponchos, blankets, leg warmers, arm warmers, socks, hats, tote bags and scarves. I get some of my ideas from looking at what people are selling on Etsy. I gave myself a pattern book for Christmas. It includes different stitch techniques like how to make cable stitches and use the loom for weaving. I haven't tried them all yet. My next project will be to try to make a sweater.

Hubby went out and bought me a few books about loom knitting and some more yarn so I have a guide to learn the different stiches. He wants me to make him a sweater. I told him I may have to start with something a little like socks :).

I have only seen one book so far on loom knitting, and I hesitated to buy it due to the price.
What I did find is some little booklets by the yarn that have instructions for different stitches, etc, one even shows how to make a backpack. I haven't tried the round looms yet.
Right now I'm working a cable stitch blanket for our bed. Also working on a girl's baby blanket on the longest loom.
The blankets have to be done in panels and then stitched together, but I'm pretty happy with the results so far.
I have a bad hand/wrist,and can not handle knitting needles(not that I know how to knit anyway),but these looms don't seem to be causing me any extra trouble.
I can take the smaller looms in the car with me,and work on something while I wait for my DH to get out of work at night,it gives me something productive to do,other than reading.
The longest loom is just a bit too long to take in the car,so I work on that one while watching television, again it gives me something productive to do,and I can still enjoy my favorite shows(Bones,CSI,House)........ ;D
What I really like about these,is the fact that I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO KNIT....or CROCHET,and yet I can make nice looking items with very little effort on my part.
Try typing in Knifty Knitter patterns in your search engine, and see what pops up.
