we broke down and had about three acres cleared by a friend's bulldozer. After clearing about two acres by hand we are tuckered out. the ground is worked up, so sweet hubby worked fast and got it all seeded the day after, but now the sees just sit on top. I wonder if it would be beneficial if we dragged a cattle panel behind the tractor, what do you all think? Or would a pallet be better?

You could try just dragging a piece of fence or something like that so it would sort of cover the seed. For smaller areas we just rake the seed in a bit and it seems to do fine. Another idea is to spread a light layer of straw over the top.
