To pick or not to pick,,,that is the question?

Hello gang, here's a dumb one for you to ponder. Hopefully one of you with more experience here can answer this for me. I purchased some Succotash dry bean seed from seed dreams. They are a black dry bean. I was thinking though. I know if you continue to pick a bean like green beans they will continue to bear. However, dry beans you allow to dry on the plant. I was thinking what if you picked the dry bean pods as they matured, you could hang them on a fishing line or something to allow them to finish drying but the plant would continue to bear more beans. Does this sound reasonable to anyone else?

It really depends on the type of bean some ripen all at the same time, some keep growing as you harvest. I don't know about the type you have but I would hate to pick too early and not have any more grow. Maybe you could try a few plants and see what happens.
