Ok, so is there anything special I must do to seeds in order to save them from one year to the next? Drying, storage, etc? How long exactly will they last?

There are different ways to save different seeds. Here's a link:

also they are finding that seeds last a lot longer than previously thought.

Thanks! I'll check that out!
I always wondered how long they'd last, because I know when I was a manager at Frank's we were banned by law from selling seeds from a prior year.

My dad always kept his leftover seeds in the packets in the freezer until the next season. I remember they were in a white box and he would use out of a packet for until in was empty. And they always came up.

I am doing the same thing with my leftover seeds.

Do all seeds stay viable by freezing them? Or is there just certain one's that you can save by freezing! I normally save mine on recyled paper towel, leave on towel & put in a air tight jar..in spring I dampen towel, place in warm place, keep damp, when sprouted plant. This way I am planting only viable seeds, too! ::)
