I'm trying to think of what, if any, fruit and vegetables can be grown in an area at around 7000' (cold long winters) where black bears and deer are very common. I was planning on using raised beds with a chicken wire enclosure. I thought maybe rhubarb and some root vegetables might be okay. Does anyone have experience in these conditions?
