I want to try some alternate livestock feeds and these seeds are quite difficult to locate! They are supposed to be great livestock feed so I got enough for a good sized 50 ft row this season and see how they do.
My 10 comfrey roots also arrived today but they would drown if I planted them outside now!

I have some seeds left over from last year. They did better than I expected in that drought. My folks always raised them. those things get pretty big and my critters were not interested in eating them. My folks had a device to chop them into bite size pieces and never had a problem feeding them. We grew two kinds, the big yellow ones and a purple variety that tasted similar to a rutabaga but grew to be much bigger.
