Just got on the Doyles blackberry site and ordered some Thornless Blackberries, one for the neighbor. Doyles are supposed to be super prolific but not quite so sweet you eat them right off the vine - better for wine and jams and pies. I am getting the deal from Gurneys of 12 Triple Crown Thornless blackberries for fresh eating. Cash in on that 25 dollars off! The neighbor is buying some of them also.
They will go in where the hoop house was last year and the Buff orpingtons had the space all rototilled, composted and fertilized. The hoop house will move to greener pastures. ;-)
