I put in a full T-Tape irrigation system for the first time this year and it's working great. I got the materials from www.fedcoseeds.com. For what I got it's the cheapest I could find.
The t-tape doesn't have a "right side up" - that's nice! It all goes together with a punch to make holes and a pair of kitchen shears.
They have a calculation on the site but I was able to do huge areas on one circuit. I'll take it up in the fall so it should last 5-7 years, I'll just roll each line up and cable tie it to the main line.
If I put them 8 inches apart it does a complete soaking of the area between lines, otherwise I simply run a line down the rows. I can move lines next year because they have "hole plugs" to fix open holes.
I've got alot of the recycled tire soaker hose and I left it on the squash areas just because I had it - yesterday it burst along the side! What a pain! This turns out a much better alternative.
I'll get some pictures posted soon. Then you will also see how tiny all of my plants are - bummer! At least they are easy to water...
