I put in a full T-Tape irrigation system for the first time this year and it's working great. I got the materials from www.fedcoseeds.com. For what I got it's the cheapest I could find.

The t-tape doesn't have a "right side up" - that's nice! It all goes together with a punch to make holes and a pair of kitchen shears.

They have a calculation on the site but I was able to do huge areas on one circuit. I'll take it up in the fall so it should last 5-7 years, I'll just roll each line up and cable tie it to the main line.

If I put them 8 inches apart it does a complete soaking of the area between lines, otherwise I simply run a line down the rows. I can move lines next year because they have "hole plugs" to fix open holes.

I've got alot of the recycled tire soaker hose and I left it on the squash areas just because I had it - yesterday it burst along the side! What a pain! This turns out a much better alternative.

I'll get some pictures posted soon. Then you will also see how tiny all of my plants are - bummer! At least they are easy to water...

Drip irrigation is pretty nice... The big apple growers here use it and the only thing i've heard them say is, the water HAS to be clean or the system plugs easily... They wouldn't use it if it didn't work good...

Sounds like it's just what you needed...

I love my drip irrigation. It works really well and requires very little maintenance. I used to use soaker hoses and they were constantly calcifying. The drip system doesn't do that and puts more water where I want it.
