Here is the link. It's my first time trying. I just got a sewing machine a few weeks ago. The quilt and matching pillow took about 5 hours of work altogether. Tell me what you think.

You did a great job! Quite a feeling of accomplishment isn't it? ;D

I did notice you were working on a very tiny table. Just a suggestion, but when you're working with something heavy like a quilt, you might want to find a card table, ironing board, whatever, to butt up against your sewing table to help support the quilt.

It's addictive, you know.
Wasn't it fun?
I hope you will not be buying up every nice piece of fabric you see everywhere you go, and end up with a mountain of stuff like sue and i have done.
Now, what are you planning to take on next?
I've been making small crazy quilt squares and embroidering them.
One is about a couple of feet sqare, another is about 16 inches, and i have done some great work on it even if i do say so myself.
I love to embroidering on every little piece of velvet i come across, and have so much stuff that sue is about to throw me out. ha!
She is as bad as i am. We have both made several baby doll quilts lately, just because we are just nuts, i guess.
I'm making a couple of little ones out of material like the soldiers wear, and some with american flag motif.
You just can't get it out of your skin once you get hooked.
I sure would like to teach my unique embroidery techniqe, but know that it is not at all likely given my
age and condition.
Maybe i'll write a book about it to put in with my closet full of other books about a million things that no one will ever read.
My place looks like a really weird person lives here.
--piles of all kinds of books and other projects all over the place.
Sue is on my case today about cleaning up my act.
I wash clothes every day now because bill is having a few accidents daily and am having to wash up our bathroom after i get through and put down a fresh rug.
--and our little doggie is missing his pee pads to mu ch these days, so we are having to clean the rug around his area today, too. love, alma
Oh, what did all this have to do with your quilt. sorry about the rant.

Very pretty......I love daisys.
I love quilts, but don't like to take the time to do them, I've done a few with squares. I like to go to the fair and see what others make. So many designs.

Told my DD this morning that one of the first things I want to buy is a sewing machine! I really miss having one and want to try my hand at quilt making myself.
