I just rinsed my sprouts and started wondering, has anybody grown lentils? they are such a nutritious food and they have to grow somewhere, so here is nudge, I think I will give them a try in the garden. . the lentils I bought at wal mart are sprouting okay, I have planted pinto beans from ALDI (2 lbs for 89 cents) and they did fine, I planted them for green manure mainly.

One way I use green manure such as beans is to let them get a foot high, mow and let them "come again" for a month or so. I just rake the tops aside, then the last mowing gets turned under.
