I'm in zone 6, and looking for an additional Open Pollinated tomato to plant next year. Currently growing a mid-season slicer. I think I need a freezing/paste type, I'd like your opinions, please.

Check with your County Extension for more information. They usually have information about what varieties are working well in your local.

Hey Smoky;I grow over 200 varieties(more is better) of OP tomatoes and the best paste var.that I,ve grown to date is an old family(Not Mine)heirloom called DePinto. It is Oct.and these plants are still cranking out fruit.Tomatoes are red, small and very firm and meaty.Great taste.I got seeds from www.tomatobob.com in Ohio. Also they are indet. so you get extended harvest. Also buy 2 or packets of seed and plant 45-50 plants so you have plenty when you want to cook with them or can.-
